About Rigby Round
The Rigby Round focuses on the southern Lake District — the Coniston, Langdale and Eskdale fell groups — in a circuit that gives a comprehensive tour of the area south of Scafell Pike. At around 100 km with approximately 6,000 m of ascent, it takes in the Old Man of Coniston, the Langdale Pikes, Bowfell and the Crinkle Crags ridge.
The round has no official keeper and the exact route varies between attempts. Most runners aim to complete it in 24 hours. The Coniston fells section is the most runnable; the Langdale approaches and Bowfell give the most technical terrain.
