About this route
A 12.7km loop from Saltaire through Shipley Glen and onto Baildon Moor, linking the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, ancient woodland and open moor. Varied urban-edge running with a World Heritage village at its heart.
Hazards & notes
Shipley Glen paths are rocky and slick when wet, and Baildon Moor holds water and needs care in cloud. The canal towpath is shared with cyclists and walkers, so give way. Grouse and grazing on the moor in places.
Emergency
Call 999 or 112 → ask for Police → request Mountain Rescue. Register Emergency SMS: text "register" to 999.
