About this route

A 9.8km loop from Wray Castle along the west shore of Windermere and through the Claife woods and heights. Low, lakeside running on good tracks, with the Gothic castle and the viewing station as bookends.

Hazards & notes

The lakeshore track is shared with cyclists and busy in season, and some sections run close to deep water, so keep children and dogs in check and give way on the path.
