About this route
A 19km low loop through the vale of Rydal and Grasmere, linking Rydal Water, Grasmere and the quiet valley floor between Ambleside and Dunmail. Gentle, scenic Lakeland running that stays off the high fells.
Hazards & notes
Busy honeypot paths mean crowds in season, and the lakeshore and valley floor hold mud after rain. Some sections run close to the water, so keep children and dogs in check.
