About this route
A 15.2km loop from Settle through the limestone country above the town and along the River Ribble, with around 310m of climbing. A varied Ribblesdale circuit of scar, pasture and riverside.
Hazards & notes
Limestone underfoot is slick when wet and the open tops need a little care in cloud. The riverside holds mud after rain and the Ribble rises fast in spate, so take care on the low path.
Emergency
Call 999 or 112 → ask for Police → request Mountain Rescue. Register Emergency SMS: text "register" to 999.
