Settle, Stainforth and the Waterfalls
You link two very different waterfalls in one short loop: broad Stainforth Force, where salmon leap in autumn, and Catrigg Force, hidden in a deep wooded ravine you would run straight past without the sign.

About this route
A 9.8km loop from Settle to Stainforth taking in two waterfalls, Stainforth Force and the hidden Catrigg Force, on the River Ribble. Short, scenic limestone running between two dales villages.
Hazards & notes
The ground around Catrigg Force is steep, rooty and slick, and the riverside paths hold mud, so take care near the falls and the Ribble when high. Limestone underfoot is slippery when wet.
