What you’re in for
Little Haven on the Pembrokeshire coast in late April — rugged cliffs, quiet coves, wide sandy bays and the villages between them, on a coast path that is wild and properly exposed. Four distances: the ultra at 55.8km with 1,050m of climb, a marathon at 43.9km, a half at 21.6km and a 10K that measures 12.1km. Fully marked, no navigation, and the usual Endurancelife set-up of one day, one course, everyone finishing in the same place.
Terrain and trail
Grass, trail, beach and coast path: cliff-top turf with steep steps into every cove, sandy bays at low tide, and lane between — firm in April, wind off the Irish Sea, and the climbing all in short pieces. Marked. A trail shoe with grip.
