A seventy-five kilometre circuit of Windermere on low-level Lake District trails, run twice a year in opposite directions — anticlockwise from Far Sawrey in September, clockwise from Finsthwaite Hall in May. They are unusually proud of the waymarking, and say plainly that you do not need to be able to navigate to take part, which makes it a rare thing: an ultra that is genuinely a first ultra.
