About this route
A 13.1km loop linking Rydal Water and Grasmere along Loughrigg Terrace, past Rydal Cave and the quiet shores between Ambleside and Grasmere. Low, scenic Lakeland running on some of the district's best-loved paths.
Hazards & notes
Busy honeypot paths mean crowds in season, and the lakeshore and terrace are slick when wet. Rydal Cave has uneven ground, standing water and low light, so take care inside.
