Burnsall Half from the Wharfe
You get one of the prettiest stretches of the River Wharfe, the stepping stones and the hump-backed bridge at Burnsall, wrapped into a proper dale circuit rather than a quick there-and-back.

About this route
A 23km loop out of Burnsall in Wharfedale, linking riverside path with the fells and lanes above the dale. Around 520m of rolling climbing on mostly good ground beside the River Wharfe.
Hazards & notes
The riverside meadows flood in winter and churn to mud after rain, so the low path can be impassable in spate. Stepping-stone crossings are slick and best avoided when the Wharfe is high.
Emergency
Call 999 or 112 → ask for Police → request Mountain Rescue. Register Emergency SMS: text "register" to 999.
