About this route
A 24km loop from Wharfedale past Kilnsey Crag and out onto Malham Moor along the Roman road of Mastiles Lane, with around 560m of climbing. Big, open limestone country on tracks and green lanes.
Hazards & notes
Malham Moor is open and exposed with branching tracks that need a map in poor visibility, and the green lanes hold water after rain. Limestone underfoot is slick when wet. Keep clear of the base of Kilnsey Crag when climbers are on it.
Emergency
Call 999 or 112 → ask for Police → request Mountain Rescue. Register Emergency SMS: text "register" to 999.
