Eightmile Events
Dorset
Eightmile Events is a group of Dorset race directors who put on three trail races of their own: the Doomsday Run in private woodland on the Charborough Estate near Bere Regis, Town to Trail through Bournemouth's parks and pinewoods, and Beat the Ferry, a 50km and 25km coastal race from Studland over the Purbeck ridge to Corfe Castle. They also run Eightmile Timing, which handles chip timing and entries for other events, and a Dorset race-listing site. The races are small and chip timed with live results, and entries go through Race Space. Expect home-made touches such as cake at the finish, a reusable cup on the kit list and a no-dogs, no-pacers rule. Beat the Ferry is TRA-affiliated and fully marked, with GPX files published for the routes.
