What you’re in for
The fiftieth running, with three new routes heading west out of Sevenoaks from West Heath School: fourteen, twenty or thirty miles, and 1,280m of climb on the long one. Mid-March. An LDWA challenge event, which means walkers and runners together, a route description to navigate by rather than tape, checkpoints with food and drink, and a meal at the end. Entry is through the LDWA's own system, places are limited, and the ones in this list tend to fill early.
Terrain and trail
Greensand ridge and North Downs chalk: sandy woodland path, steep wooded scarp, field and lane, and the Kentish clay in the valleys that makes March the muddiest month. A trail shoe.
