What you’re in for

Brown Rigg to Kirk Yetholm in January, 43 miles with 1,759 m of climb over the Cheviots, off at noon with eighteen hours to finish. The Cheviot section is the loneliest part of the Pennine Way and this is it on its own, in the dark, in winter. Spine ask for a marathon or ultra behind you, ideally in winter conditions, or a background in adventure racing, orienteering or fell running.
