What you’re in for

A point-to-point ultra along the Test Way long-distance path, starting at the Linkenholt Activity Centre on the Hampshire/Berkshire border and finishing in Totton on the edge of Southampton. You run down the full length of the county, from the chalk downs in the north through the Test valley's farmland, riverside paths and villages. The ground is not technical, mostly firm trail, grass and chalk. Choose 50 miles (08:00 start) or 40 miles (08:30), with a 14-hour cut-off for both. The route is signed the day before, and the last stretch has high-vis markers for runners finishing after dark. Aid stations are roughly every 10 miles. A £10 coach takes you from Totton back to your car at Linkenholt.
