What you’re in for

A Christmas Eve 10km from Renegade Brewery on the Yattendon Estate in West Berkshire. The route uses estate trails, woodland and single-track footpaths, about 75 percent off-road. It is hilly in places, with around 140m of climbing, but the time limit is generous. The start is between 9:50 and 10:00, and there is a 2 hour cut-off and one cupless water point. Dog runners can enter the separate Santa Paws canicross. Finishers get a medal, pint cup, drink and a mince pie. Early-bird places and canicross entries had already sold out by September.
