What you’re in for
The summer partner of the Midwinter race, run in the opposite direction from Kington to Ludlow Castle along the Mortimer Trail. The Kington Ultra is about 30 miles with 1,298m of climbing. The Croft Half covers about 14 miles from the Riverside Inn at Aymestrey with 715m. The ground is mixed trail, field and lane over wooded ridges and limestone hills. The route is self-navigated, so you need a map, a printed route or a GPX on your watch. The last edition started the ultra at 8:00 and the half at 9:00, with a minibus from Ludlow. No 2027 date is published yet.
