Blast Running
Edinburgh, Scotland
Blast Running is an Edinburgh company run by race director Cat (Catriona). It has put on events since its first race on 29 September 2019. Most of its calendar is city and coastal racing: lunchtime 5ks on the Meadows, summer evening 5ks, the Innocent Half, the Sunset Running Festival on the prom, and 20 Along the Forth. Among them are a few off-road events: the Dalmeny Halloween Trail Half, the Water of Leith Half, the hilly Breaking the Laws 30K in East Lothian and the 90K Fife Pilgrim Way Ultra. Every event supports a local charity, and they report more than £40,000 raised so far. Entry is through booking forms on their own website. Races are chip-timed and marshalled, with medals for finishers and post-race food at most events.
