What you’re in for
A marathon-distance loop out of Hope Church in Diss on the second Saturday in April, joining parts of the Boudicca Way and the Angles Way with local footpaths: Scole, Brockdish, Harleston and Pulham Market, with aid stations at the last three and a water point besides. Half past eight, eight hours, runners and walkers together, GPS-tracked and chip-timed, largely traffic-free with the main road crossings marshalled. The distance is approximate — the course has not been measured for records — and the medal is a one-off.
Terrain and trail
Riverside path along the Waveney on the Angles Way, field edge, green lane and quiet road on the Boudicca Way and between. Flat to gently rolling, clay underfoot, and April in Norfolk can leave the field sections heavy. A trail shoe.
