What you’re in for
Four waymarked National Trails run end to end: Amberley Museum west along the South Downs Way for forty-two miles to just past Exton, north-east on the Wayfarers Walk and the St Swithuns Way for thirty-two to Farnham, then the North Downs Way for the last twenty-six to Box Hill and Juniper Hall. Centurion do not mark this one. You navigate it from the GPX, and each trail has its own waymarking to learn beforehand. Three checkpoints with hot food and drop bags, two hours maximum at each, thirty-five hours overall.
