What you’re in for

Worthing to Eastbourne, joining the South Downs Way just before Chanctonbury Ring and staying on it to the finish, apart from the bridleway over Windover Hill to Jevington instead of the Seven Sisters. A lap of the Eastbourne track to end. Chalk underfoot, which is slippery wet or dry. Acorn posts plus tape and Centurion arrows, seven aid stations with hot drinks at Alfriston and Jevington, thirteen hours.
