What you’re in for
Twenty-six or eighteen miles of the Suffolk coast and the heathland inland around Minsmere and Dunwich, from Walberswick, with a route description and an optional GPX. All to finish by five, early October. An LDWA challenge event, which means walkers and runners together, a route description to navigate by rather than tape, checkpoints with food and drink, and a meal at the end. Entry is through the LDWA's own system, places are limited, and the ones in this list tend to fill early.
Terrain and trail
Shingle and sand along the coast, sandy heath path and forest track inland — flat, but the shingle and the soft sand are slow going. Road shoes with tread.
