The course
What you’re in for
A single 12km lap of Cannock Chase from Tackeroo campsite, entirely off-road and laid out as a figure of eight around the event arena. It uses forest paths, stone tracks and muddy singletrack that most visitors never find, with some stiff climbs, quick descents and the 'Ditch of Doom', a water hazard you can skip by a dry route. There is water every 5km, no cut-off, and trail shoes are essential. Numbers are collected on the day from 08:00. Categories are adult/junior (14-49) and vet (50+), plus a separate 2.5km race for under-14s at 09:30. Parking is free and about 100m from the start, and camping is available on Friday and Saturday nights.
