The course

What you’re in for

A single 10km lap from the Rock UK adventure centre at Newcastleton in the Scottish Borders, entirely off-road on wide forest tracks and flowing singletrack with some technical descents. The course is marked with arrows and floor markings and is fully marshalled. There is no cut-off, so run-walkers are welcome, and water is at halfway. It is chip timed, with adult/junior (14-39) and vet (40+) categories. Sign-on is at Rock UK, parking costs £1, and you can camp or book a lodge on site.
