What you’re in for

A point-to-point ultra along St Cuthbert's Way from the Scottish Borders to Holy Island. The 100km starts at Melrose overnight on Friday and crosses the Borders and the Northumberland National Park via Morebattle, Kirk Yetholm and Wooler; the 60km starts at Morebattle early on Saturday. Both must reach the causeway checkpoint before the tide cut-off. The route follows the trail's own waymarks. Entrants need a half marathon or longer finished in the last three years, carry a GPS tracker, and can use drop bags. Registration and parking are at Wooler, with coaches to the starts and a shuttle back from Holy Island to Wooler. Limits are 20 and 12.5 hours.
