What you’re in for
New for 2027: a 55km loop from Cromer Hall inland along the Weavers Way to North Walsham at halfway, out to the coast at Mundesley and back up the Norfolk Coast Path to Cromer, with about 475m of climb on the organiser's figures — described as relatively flat, and it is. A 30km that finishes at North Walsham and a ten-mile loop round Cromer. Mid-June, in daylight. An Ultra Challenge event, which means walkers, joggers and runners on the same course, signed with pink arrows and glow sticks after dark, with a covered rest stop every twelve kilometres or so — food, drink, medics, toilets — and a bigger one every twenty-five. Runners can enter with a target time; most of the field will be walking.
Terrain and trail
Old railway and field path on the Weavers Way, then cliff-top coast path and possibly beach between Mundesley and Cromer. Flat and firm; soft sand is the only slow bit. Signed. A road shoe with tread.
