What you’re in for
A December trail race in south Manchester, starting and finishing at Sale Water Park. All routes use riverside paths and green space around Chorlton Water Park and the Mersey. The marathon follows the Trans Pennine Trail out to Little Bollington and returns along the Bridgewater Canal towpath. The courses are flat, marked and marshalled. The marathon starts at 8:45, the half at 9:15 and the 11km at 9:45. Parking at the water park is free. Cut-offs are 7 hours for the marathon and 3.5 hours for the half, with none for the 11km. Mulled wine and mince pies are served at the finish.
