What you’re in for
Fifty miles west from the Imperial War Museum North on the Trans-Pennine Trail, the Manchester Ship Canal and the River Mersey, finishing at the Railway Club in Liverpool. Well marked and fast — 123 m of climb across the whole thing. Six checkpoints, from Chorlton Water Park through Dunham Massey, Latchford Locks and Spike Island, and fourteen hours.
