What you’re in for
A 5km, a 10km or a half marathon across Tatton Park in Cheshire in March, the second year of the event. A thousand acres of deer park, parkland and woodland around the hall and the meres, with the deer wandering across the course. The 5km is 5.0km with 21m of climb; the 10km is 10.1km and the half 21.3km. Tatton is flat, so this is a fast one over any distance.
Terrain and trail
Park paths, grass, woodland track and sections of footpath, flat throughout. March grass in a Cheshire deer park is soft and sometimes waterlogged, which is the only thing that will slow you. A road shoe with tread.
