What you’re in for
Matterley Bowl to Queen Elizabeth Country Park on the chalk of the South Downs Way, entirely inside the South Downs National Park. Rolling hills and ancient forts, with views north over the Weald and south to the coast. Four fifths trail, marked with Centurion ribbons and arrows the whole way. Four aid stations, nine hours.
