What you’re in for
Thirty miles from Morland near Penrith with 3,000 ft of climb, through the Eden Valley on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales — stone circles, waterfalls, lower fells, cairns, rivers, meadows and old villages, with the Pennines east and the Howgills south. Four checkpoints with water and snacks, twelve hours, tail runners behind. Runners and walkers both.
