Outsider Events

Outsider Events is an Edinburgh-based company that began in 2019 with a single road hill climb and now runs trail races and gravel rides around Scotland. On the running side the fixtures are the Aberfoyle Festival of Trail Running in the Trossachs each October, the Blair Castle Trail Weekender in Highland Perthshire each June, and the newer South Scotland Outdoor Festival at Drumlanrig Castle. Their events lean towards a festival format: a race village with music, film, yoga and camping, with the race entry covering access. Courses are marked, timed electronically and supported with feed stations, and the longer races carry compulsory kit lists. Entries are handled through their own Eventrac page, with a card fee added on top of the listed price.
