Part of the South Scotland Outdoor Festival at Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfries and Galloway, the Run Drumlanrig races stay entirely within the estate. The 21km is the longest and covers most of the grounds on forest paths and estate trails; the 5km (about 120m of climb) suits newer trail runners or anyone saving their legs for the evening. In 2026 both ran on the Saturday of the festival. Entry includes weekend festival access with talks, films, live music and camping available. Required kit is light: trail shoes, a charged phone, a bottle, snacks and a waterproof.
