What you’re in for
Sunday at the Blair Castle Trail Weekender has three shorter races from the castle event village. The Atholl Trail Half Marathon (21.1km, about 400m of climb) combines forest, river and mountain views. Banvie Burn (13km, 200m) runs through Diana's Grove, drops through Buluain Woods and loops into Glen Tilt via the Blairuachdair forest. Diana's Grove (7km, 100m) is a rolling forest route back along the bottom of Glen Tilt, pitched at newcomers. All three are marked and timed. The half carries the same waterproof and emergency kit as the longer races; the shorter two need a whistle, phone, cup and snacks. Entry includes festival access, with camping on site.
