SilverBack Trails
Glaisdale, North Yorkshire
SilverBack Trails is Adrian Martin's small events outfit from Glaisdale, and everything it puts on is on the North York Moors. The Revenge series are short, steep races of 10 to 13 miles, each with a local legend and a sting near the finish; the longer events start from Goathland Village Hall and run from a night race between sunset and sunrise up to a 120-mile loop of the highest hills on the Moors. Fields are small, often 50 to 70. Courses are partly flagged at most, so you are expected to navigate with a map and compass, and the kit lists are enforced. Dogs on a lead are welcome at most of the shorter races and start at the back.
