No reviews of the Summer Spine, and nothing on what people wore. Both are things no organiser publishes and every runner wants before they enter — how it actually went, and what was on your feet.

What you’re in for

The same 268 miles of Pennine Way as the winter race, Edale to Kirk Yetholm non-stop, run in June instead: the Peak District, the Dales, Northumberland, Hadrian's Wall and the Cheviots. Nineteen hours of daylight rather than eight, and five to twenty-five degrees by day. That makes it a different race rather than an easier one — the ground is the same, and so is the need to keep moving while your body asks you not to.
