Devon
Wild Running is a Devon business set up in 2012 by Ceri Rees, a former English Schools cross-country champion. It runs the Wild Night Run series (Burrator Noir, Night on the Edge, Wild & Mild) plus the South Hams Ultra, the Way of the Dead Dartmoor crossing, the Green Lantern round Exeter, the Salmon Run up the Exe and the Something Wild festival at Hope Cove. It also runs guided trail camps and navigation courses. The races lean towards night running, moorland and self-navigation. Several use GPS trackers and expect you to carry a map or GPS device. Medals are often an optional extra and the races are cupless. Entry is through the organiser's own Eventrac-powered site.
