What you’re in for
Both night runs start at the Old School Community Centre in South Brent and follow the Avon valley up towards Shipley Bridge. The 9-mile Wild route goes onto open moor past the Avon Dam and below the Abbot's Way, comes off near Dockwell and finishes over the famously muddy Brent Hill. The 5-mile Mild route turns off early and returns via Didworthy, mostly on lanes and paths, with some stiff hills. The course is marked, but the organiser suggests carrying the route on a device as well. Afterwards there is hot food, live music and a sauna at the race HQ.
