What you’re in for
The full race is an anticlockwise 100-mile circuit of the South Hams, mostly on the new South Hams Way. It starts and finishes on the Flete Estate at Mothecombe. The route crosses the Erme, takes the ferry from Salcombe to East Portlemouth, follows the coast path to Dartmouth, then the Dart Valley Way to Totnes. It goes onto the southern edge of Dartmoor via Buckfastleigh and the Avon Dam and returns along the Erme-Plym Trail and Noss Mayo. The 44-mile race starts in Totnes and the marathon in South Brent; both finish at Mothecombe. There are eight checkpoints on the 100, GPS tracking, drop bags and a prepaid ferry crossing. The kit list includes a map or GPS device and two headtorches.
