What you’re in for

A Keswick loop on the Sunday of the 13 Valleys weekend: 21km with 439m of climb up the Glenderaterra valley between Skiddaw and Blencathra and back round Latrigg, waymarked, one checkpoint, eight hours.

Terrain and trail

Good valley track up the Glenderaterra, rougher fell path across the flank of Blencathra, and the well-walked path over Latrigg with the view over Derwentwater at the end. Waymarked. A trail shoe.

Routes starting within 20 km of Keswick, Cumbria, nearest first. Each one has a free GPX file and a TRP grade, so you can rehearse the ground before race day.

Bob Graham Round Leg 1: Skiddaw and Blencathra

You get the start of the most famous round in British fell running, crossing Skiddaw at 931 m and the lonely top of Great Calva before the high traverse to Blencathra and the steep drop off Hall's Fell.
