What you’re in for

Waterhead at Ambleside to Keswick the long way: 110km and 3,981m of climb over High Street and through the central fells, with seven checkpoints and 28 hours. Run alongside the 13 Valleys on the same weekend, and it shares the same rule — it is not waymarked, so you navigate.

Terrain and trail

High Street's grassy ridge, then the rockier central fells and the passes between the valleys, with a night section for almost everyone. Full mountain kit and real navigation. A fell shoe with grip and something warm for the tops.
