What you’re in for
A 10K or a half marathon through Newborough Forest and the dunes on Anglesey, with Llanddwyn Island and the beach for a backdrop. The 10K is 10.2km with 52m of climb; the half 21.4km with 96m. Marked. Early November.
Terrain and trail
Forest road and sandy track between the pines, dune path and possibly beach — flat, and the sand is what slows you. A road shoe with tread.
