What you’re in for
A November evening race from Winchester Athletics Track, run entirely by headtorch. The 22km route climbs the South Downs Way to Cheesefoot Head, loops out past Fawley towards Morestead, then crosses MOD land at Deacons Hill. There it meets the shorter route, and both head back via the Pilgrims Trail, St Catherine's Hill and the Itchen Way to finish at the track. The course is marked with reflective arrows. You must carry a head or chest torch (a spare is advised) and at least 500ml of fluid. Park at the Barfield Park & Ride, which is free after 4pm. Bibs are collected 16:30 to 17:15.
