The course
What you’re in for
A women-only 50km across the Llŷn from Abersoch to Pwllheli in mid-April — coast path, hilly inland trail and the climb over Garn Fadryn — billed as the biggest all-women ultra in the world, with walkers, hikers and runners all welcome. Fully marked, so no navigation; no cut-offs, in the organiser's words no cut-offs, only smiles; an all-female medical team on the course; aid stations stocked with the things other races forget.
Terrain and trail
Coast path and beach on the south side of the peninsula, then inland on lane, field path and the rocky pull up and over Garn Fadryn, before the run in to Pwllheli. April can be wet, and the field sections will be muddy. Marked. A trail shoe.
