What you’re in for

Round two of the G3 winter trail series moves to Houndhouse Road, on the Greensand side of the Surrey Hills near Guildford. Runners choose 10km or 15km on off-road routes through old woodland and over steep, muddy banks, with technical descents; the organiser gives about 250m of climb. It starts at 08:00 sharp, so arrive 45 minutes early for registration. The series has a 300-runner limit and often sells out. Entry includes chip timing, water, a post-race brownie and banana, and a choice of medal or a tree planted. Parking is free. Routes are about 98% off-road with some road crossings.
