What you’re in for
A point-to-point ultra on the Cambrian Way from the Black Mountains to Cardiff. The 44-mile race starts at Llanthony Priory; the 33-mile joins at Abergavenny, 11 miles in. Both take in the Sugar Loaf, the Blorenge, Twmbarlwm and Mynydd Machen, then Cefn Onn, Fforest Fawr and Castell Coch, finishing at Cardiff Harlequins in Radyr. The course is not marked: follow the Cambrian Way waymarks to Tongwynlais, then the Taff Trail. There are indoor aid stations with hot food at Abergavenny, Pontypool and Machen, water roughly every 6 miles, live tracking, and intermediate cut-offs with the finish closing at midnight. Coach transfer from Cardiff to the start costs extra.
