What you’re in for

Based at the Showground in Elvaston Castle Country Park, south-east of Derby, this course combines woodland trails, open parkland and long stretches beside the River Derwent. The ground is mostly trail and grass with some firmer paths, and it is nearly flat, with 106m of climb on the half marathon. There are three distances, 21.1k, 14.5k and 10.4k, starting at 8:30, 9:00 and 9:15, with a 1pm cut-off. No dogs. A runnable course that suits a first trail half or a spring time trial on soft ground.
