What you’re in for
Six options out of Edale over a weekend, from a 12 km Dash up to 110 km, run on Peak District ridgelines, moorland trails and limestone valleys. The 110 km can be taken in one go on the Saturday or split across two days, and the shorter races start through Saturday and Sunday morning. Everything is fully marked and a GPX is published for each distance, so there is nothing to navigate. Aid stations carry water, snacks and hot water for anyone making their own food, and there are medics and therapists on the course and at the campsite.

Cut-offs
Two and a half hours per 10 km, which Ultra X set deliberately generous. Anyone who does not finish is offered half-price entry the following year.
Train for it: routes near the start
Routes starting within 20 km of Edale, Derbyshire, nearest first. Each one has a free GPX file and a TRP grade, so you can rehearse the ground before race day.
