The course
What you’re in for
A 10.5km trail race from the Meanwood Institute through Meanwood Park and the Hollies woodland, then along the Meanwood Valley Trail past the Seven Arches aqueduct and up to Adel Crag. It has about 200m of climbing on grass, rocky ground, footpaths and plenty of mud, with stiff short climbs and quick descents. In November the course is usually very muddy, so trail shoes are a good idea, and headphones are discouraged on the narrow technical paths. There is a short marshalled stretch of private road. The field is capped at 200, runners must be 18 or over, and soup is waiting at the finish. Bring your own water container. On-street parking in Meanwood is limited.
