What you’re in for
Two ultras from Winwick Hall that follow the Harborough Round long-distance path through the Northamptonshire and Leicestershire countryside around Market Harborough. The routes take in Foxton Locks, Naseby battlefield and the Kelmarsh Tunnel on the Brampton Valley Way, using parts of the Jurassic Way, Leicestershire Round and Macmillan Way. Both have a fair amount of climbing. The course is marked with ribbons and arrows, but runners are expected to navigate themselves, and GPX files and written directions are provided. The 100k has seven checkpoints with hot food at Hallaton and Sibbertoft; the 50k has three. A head torch is mandatory for the tunnel. Free guided recces run before the race. TRA licensed.
